OUR PROCESS

Our Visual Merchandising process is simple. We have taken the bulk out of any lengthy process to deliver the best overall outcome.

1. Brief and booking schedule from client

2. Visual Merchandising Directives from client to upload to box

3. Visual Merchandiser executes directives in-store

4. Visual Merchandiser uploads photos in real-time to Box

5. Client is notified of completed Visual Merchandising visits

6. Images go live for your viewing, commentary and feedback

Play Dashboard

A great feature from our visual merchandising programs is Play Dashboard. Play Dashboard is a reporting system tailored to your needs to provide you with the relevant feedback and field visibility you require. This can be presented to you weekly via a dashboard style report with example images below, as an optional cost.

Customised to provide regular feedback that is important to your business, this can include analytics such as:

● How VM time was spent in-store, refill time vs merchandising time for example
● New product drop availability/store processing delays
● Stock levels including any low stock red flags
● Competitor activity and share of voice

Case Study

Challenge

Our client approached us after a positive referral from their sister brand Superdry, an active client of Play Retail. With a limited field team of sales people working in Myer stores, our client required visual merchandising support to over 40 David Jones stores nationwide in an effort to lift sales and in time with the launch of their O2 Motion campaign.

Solution

Play Retail engaged our national field team to service our clients spaces in their network of David Jones stores. Guiding our client through this new prospect and new program we helped to design a program schedule geared in proportion to sales rankings and stock volume. We worked with our client to equip our team with key product knowledge to provide in store education to customers and store personnel, creating awareness and brand heat for the campaign. We designed a Visit Mission to deliver maximum results and value for investment for our clients, visit duties included:

  • Ensuring reserve areas are well organised and maintained
  • Careful re-fill checks to ensure all styles are on display
  • Re-merchandising to brand standards
  • In store education of store team and customers

Result

Our client was overwhelmingly pleased with the incredible sales uplift achieved

Week 1: +33%
Week 2: +33.5%
Week 3: +33.4%
Week 4: +82.6%
Week 5: +79.2%

“Play Retail had quickly become an important resource to our brand. Through in store visual merchandising support, stock maintenance, engaging with floor team members and providing consistent store feedback, all was managed with our brand front of mind.

Play Retail played a crucial role in helping us gain field insights in the absence of having dedicated staff members. The team were a pleasure to work and we can’t wait to engage with them again in the future”
